- Your plan price: Virtual Mailing Address 30 is $9.99/mo or $99.00/yr, Virtual Mailing Address 60 is $14.99/mo or $149.04/yr, Virtual Business Address 30 is $14.99/mo or $149.04/yr, and Virtual Business Address 60 is $19.99/mo or $198.96/yr. Yearly plans are paid annually and save about 17%. The plan covers receiving your mail, an envelope photo of every piece, shredding, and 30 days of storage.
- Open and scan is $1.99 per piece, only when you ask for it, on every plan. Henry's summary and translation come with every scan. There is no page fee, however long the letter.
- Extra mail beyond your plan is $1.50 per piece. Monthly allowances reset each billing cycle.
- Forwarding costs the actual carrier postage and nothing else. No handling fee, no margin on shipping.
- Check deposits are a flat $2 per check, electronic where your bank supports it or mailed to your bank with postage included.
- Letters and packages are stored 30 days. After that, letters are shredded and packages are discarded, free, after we email you. There is no setup fee and no storage fee.
Prices exclude applicable taxes. Founding prices are locked for everyone who orders before launch and are planned to rise after launch. Forward, shred, or store

Why Auteur
Auteur publishes The Auteur Brief and The Field Guide, where we explain the US market against primary sources. The mailbox comes from the same team. We have run cross-border mail operations in Asia for years, and we build the mailbox software ourselves.

Frequently asked questions
When do you open?
We are opening city by city across nine US cities: Silicon Valley, New York City, San Francisco, Washington DC, Delaware, Wyoming, Tampa, Los Angeles, and Austin. We would rather not promise a date we can't keep. Everyone who orders gets the exact opening date by email before anyone else.
Does ordering cost anything today?
No. Nothing is charged on the site and no card is collected. You pick a city and a plan, leave your email, and we email you the next steps. That locks your founding price and your place in line. If you change your mind later, you can simply ignore the email.
What counts as one piece of mail?
One envelope or package received at your address. Junk mail is filtered out and never counts. Every piece comes with an envelope photo, 30 days of storage, and free shredding. Opening and scanning it is $1.99, only when you ask, and that includes Henry's summary.
What is USPS Form 1583?
It is the federal form every US mailbox customer signs so an agent can legally receive mail for them. We are building our onboarding so you can complete it from outside the US, and we will walk you through it at launch.
Can I use the address for my business?
Yes, that is what it is designed for. Your address will be a real commercial street address, built to serve as your business mailing address. Requirements differ by state and by institution, so we document exactly what the address is, and you can check the fit for your specific filing.
What happens after my included pieces?
Each additional piece received is $1.50, with the same envelope photo, storage, and shredding. If you regularly go over, the 60 version of your product costs $5 more a month for twice the mail, and you can switch at any time: moving up applies right away, and moving down starts with your next billing cycle. Monthly allowances reset each billing cycle. Forwarding is always actual postage with no handling fee.
Can you deposit checks?
Yes. Check deposit is a flat $2 per check. Where your bank supports remote deposit we deposit it electronically, and otherwise we mail the check to your bank with postage included. There is no percentage of the amount and no monthly minimum.
Whose mail can I receive?
It depends on the product. Virtual Mailing Address is for personal mail: up to 2 individual recipient names, and mail addressed to a business or trade name (LLC, Corp, or DBA) cannot be accepted on it. Virtual Business Address receives mail in one business or trade name plus up to 6 individual names, counting you. One postal rule applies to both: each adult receiving personal mail completes their own free USPS Form 1583, and we walk them through it. A second company gets its own plan, which keeps its mail and records separate.
